Scalable Capital is a leading fintech in Europe offering scalable capital management solutions. We seek a senior accounting leader to drive the finance function, ensure compliant reporting under German GAAP, and partner with auditors and tax advisors across international teams.

The role emphasizes end-to-end close, process automation, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-growing environment that supports relocation and international work options.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in financial accounting under German GAAP (HGB) and in handling tax-related matters.
• Proven hands-on experience preparing (consolidated) annual financial statements and managing external audits.
• Solid knowledge of tax topics, e.g., VAT and related reporting requirements.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with a structured, precise working style and strong problem-solving skills.
• Business-fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale Scalable Capital’s Accounting function under HGB/IFRS.
• Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across existing and new workstreams to improve efficiency, quality, and control.
• Own the monthly and annual close, including monthly tax reporting and support for related reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to continuously improve the accounting process landscape.

• Lead and scale Scalable Capital’s Accounting function, covering German GAAP (HGB/RechKredV) and IFRS requirements
• Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across existing and new workstreams to improve efficiency, quality, and control
• Own and drive cross-functional accounting projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., auditors, tax advisors), and continuously improve the accounting process landscape
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the monthly and annual close, including monthly tax reporting and support for related reporting requirements
• Contribute to the design of booking logic and posting patterns within our in-house core banking system, ensuring accurate and scalable accounting treatment
