Rocket Factory Augsburg in Augsburg is seeking a Harness & Electrical Assembly Technician to build and integrate electrical harnesses for next-generation launch vehicles. You will work on AIT activities, perform tests, and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards while documenting results.

The role requires hands-on wiring experience, IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge, and the ability to read complex drawings. English fluency is essential in this international team environment.

Qualifikationen

• Must have completed apprenticeship or formal training in a related field.
• Experience in wire harness assembly and electro-mechanical manufacturing.
• Proficient with multimeters, oscilloscopes and test fixtures.
• Ability to read schematics, BOMs and controlled drawings while ensuring documentation.
• Experience in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

• Build, crimp, solder, terminate, route, and label wire harnesses and cable assemblies in accordance with schematics, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and aerospace quality standards.
• Install and integrate harnesses and electrical assemblies during AIT activities with proper routing, shielding, and connectivity.
• Perform continuity, functional, and electrical tests and document results accurately.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, GD&T layouts, BOMs, and controlled docs.
• Apply quality inspections, ESD procedures, and support process improvements and first-article builds.

About the Team

Our international and agile team is looking for support from a motivated person as a Harness & Electrical Assembly Technician (m/f/d). You will play a key role in building and integrating the electrical systems that power next-generation launch vehicles and space technologies. Join us in shaping the future of New Space by delivering high-quality aerospace-grade electrical assemblies that enable reliable mission success.

Your Tasks

• Build, crimp, solder, terminate, route, and label wire harnesses and cable assemblies in accordance with schematics, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and aerospace quality standards.
• Install and integrate harnesses and electrical assemblies during AIT activities, ensuring proper routing, shielding, strain relief, and connectivity.
• Perform continuity, functional, and electrical tests using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and dedicated test equipment while documenting results accurately.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, GD&T layouts, BOMs, and controlled documentation to execute assembly activities efficiently and correctly.
• Apply rigorous quality inspections, ESD procedures, and troubleshooting methods while supporting process improvements, tooling trials, and first-article builds.

Your Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship or formal training as an electrician, electronics technician, mechatronics technician, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in wire harness assembly, cable fabrication, or electro-mechanical manufacturing, emphasizing precision and quality.
• Skilled in testing and troubleshooting with industry-standard diagnostic tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical test fixtures.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, cable lists, and work instructions while ensuring accurate documentation and traceability.
• Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, motorsport, or other high-reliability manufacturing sectors, coupled with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, capable of thriving in an English-speaking technical environment.
