Zusammenfassung

Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) seeks an experienced Electrical/Avionics Technician to join our Avionics Production team in Augsburg, Germany. You will handle installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical and avionics hardware, performing precise soldering and harness fabrication to high-quality standards.

Qualifikationen

  • Completed apprenticeship as electrician/electronics technician or similar discipline.
  • Work experience with electronics control systems and standard industrial sensors.
  • Hands-on experience building electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies with precision and quality control.
  • Proficiency with test and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Ability to document complex systems clearly and traceably.
  • Experience in aerospace is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and independent work style.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).

Aufgaben

  • Perform all aspects of electrical and avionics work, including installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Assemble, install, and integrate electrical and avionics hardware components.
  • High-quality soldering of components, wiring, and connectors.
  • Install and modify complex harnesses within avionics shelves and panels to standards.
  • Manufacture and document assembly of mechatronic actuators and valves with quality control.
  • Test circuits and diagnose faults using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and function generators.
  • Assist AIT team in mounting electrical harnesses and subsystems.
  • Read engineering drawings and controlled documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop production processes for first-time runs and support efficiency initiatives.
  • Identify blockers and ensure on-time delivery; record results in ERP.

About The Team

Our Avionics Production team is essential to RFA’s vision of delivering low-cost and reliable access to space by transforming complex electrical and avionics designs into high-quality, flight-ready hardware. You’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge components while collaborating closely with engineers to ensure precision, reliability, and continuous improvement across our production processes. If you’re motivated by technical craftsmanship, problem-solving, and contributing directly to Europe’s New Space movement, this is the place where your work truly shapes the path to orbit.

Your Tasks
  • Perform all aspects of electrical and avionics work, including installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Assemble, install, and integrate electrical and avionics hardware components.
  • Perform high-quality soldering of electronic components, wiring, and connectors.
  • Install and modify complex harnesses within avionics shelves and panels, ensuring compliance, adhering to strict industry and company standards.
  • Manufacture and document the assembly of mechatronic actuators and valves based on designs and specifications, ensuring continuous quality control throughout the process.
  • Conduct thorough testing and fault diagnosis of electronic circuits down to the component level, utilizing specialized equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
  • Assist the AIT team in mounting and integrating electrical harnesses, cabling equipment, and subsystems.
  • Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, controlled documentation, and established processes to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Assist in developing production processes for first-time production runs and support efficiency improvement initiatives in the manufacturing area.
  • Identify and elevate potential blockers to the team leader, self-monitor work progress against benchmarks, and ensure on-time delivery of all tasks.
  • Record work performed using the shop floor management system (ERP) and document flight hardware verification results in a clear, precise, and complete manner.
Your Qualifications
  • Completed apprenticeship as electrician/electronics technician or similar discipline
  • Work experience as an electrical technician ideally with electronics control systems and standard industrial sensor knowledge
  • Hands-on experience in building electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies with precision and quality control
  • Strong proficiency in using common test and diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other industry-standard tools
  • Ability to document complex systems accurately, ensuring clarity and traceability for future reference
  • Experience in aerospace sector is a big plus
  • High level of problem-solving skills, independent and target-oriented way of working
  • Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
