Jobbeschreibung

New datacenter, new team, new energy. OVHcloud is expanding its German footprint with a brand-new colocation site in Berlin, and we're looking for hands‑on DC Technicians to help bring it to life from day one. You'll be on the floor – installing, maintaining, and keeping the infrastructure running. Sites like this move fast, so we need people who bring enthusiasm, flexibility, and a genuine team‑first mindset. On‑call rotation is part of the deal.

If building something from the ground up and keeping a datacenter alive sounds like your kind of challenge – let's talk.

Your Mission
  • Install and set up infrastructure – racks, power, cooling, network cabling, probes, and alerts, plus assembling, upgrading, and swapping servers as directed by the DC Manager
  • Be the first line of response – monitor alarms, act on alerts and customer tickets, and schedule repairs quickly
  • Troubleshoot and resolve failures – servers, network devices, curative maintenance, component replacements, the lot
  • Handle emergencies with confidence – respond fast, follow safety protocols, and loop in the right people
  • Escalate smartly – know when to push issues to Level 2 support, no guessing involved
  • Keep the operation tight – coordinate with 24/7 teams, share info across maintenance agents, and report up to the DC Manager
  • Maintain and improve equipment – follow procedures, run preventive diagnostics on cooling systems, and bring ideas when you see a better way
  • Support facility maintenance – assist and oversee contractors, help with ventilation and cooling setup, and jump in on repairs
  • Manage logistics and stock – handle orders, dispatch, and keep inventory organised
  • Keep records spotless – update asset databases for stock, status, and actions, always
What you bring to the rack
  • Hands‑on IT and hardware know‑how – genuine interest in computer hardware and components, with ideally 2 years experience in a similar role and a track record of building and maintaining computers
  • Maintenance and safety chops – advanced knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and operational techniques, with strong awareness of applicable security and regulatory requirements
  • Electrical aptitude – able to safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems within a datacenter environment
  • Networking and infrastructure basics – foundational understanding of computer networking and datacenter infrastructure
  • Problem‑solving mindset – you see an issue, you dig in, and you fix it
  • Logistics and stock awareness – comfortable managing inventory, dispatch, and keeping things organised
  • Fluency in English – our common language across European sites (France, Limburg, Berlin)
  • Team‑first attitude with a proactive streak – strong communicator who brings energy, not just skills
  • Customer‑centric and detail‑oriented – uptime matters, service quality is non‑negotiable, and you focus on the fix, not the fault
  • Solid foundation – post‑secondary or equivalent qualification in electronics, IT, or maintenance
  • Driving license – we're opening a 3AZ and sometimes its needed to commute between the sites
Your future impact
In 6 months
  • You'll be fully up to speed on site operations, able to handle installations and 1st-level interventions independently.
  • You'll have built strong working relationships with the 24/7 teams and the wider DC Operations network.
In 1 year
  • You'll be a go‑to person on the floor – confident in troubleshooting, maintenance routines, and coordinating with contractors.
  • You'll be actively contributing ideas to improve equipment, processes, and the way the site runs day to day.
What We Offer
  • A hands‑on role in launching OVHcloud's newest German datacenter – be there from the first rack to the first customer
  • A competetive salary package with annual bonus scheme as well as company pension scheme & insurance packages
  • 32 vacation days per year in the beginning, up to 34 days with growing seniority
  • "Mahlzeit!" – we cover 15 of your lunchbreaks per month with our PLUXEE lunch vouchers worth 7,23€ each
  • Stay Active – with our Sports Allowance of up to 400€ per year, we financially support your sports activities
  • Commuting bonuses – With our Public Transport and bike allowance policies, we support your commuting costs
  • Direct influence on product development – your operational insights feed back to R&D to help shape the next generation of OVHcloud infrastructure
  • Career development within one of Europe's leading cloud providers, with opportunities to expand your scope as the site matures
