Job summary

Standard Profil Group in Germany is seeking an experienced Senior External Reporting Specialist to manage the German holding company’s accounting and financial reporting in line with HGB and IFRS. You will coordinate with auditors and tax advisors and support group consolidation.

The role requires 4–5 years of professional accounting experience, a Finance/Accounting degree, fluent English and German, and SAP experience in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Sound understanding of financial accounting and reporting processes.
• Fluent in English; German is required.
• Turkish language skills are considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the financial accounting of the German parent company (GmbH).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.
• Prepare IFRS reporting packages for Group consolidation and reporting purposes.
• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HGB, IFRS, tax regulations, and internal corporate policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.
• Support tax-related matters and statutory audits.
• Contribute to international finance and transformation projects.
• Identify, drive, and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Further develop reporting, closing, and internal control processes.

As Group External Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting activities of the German holding company and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the global organization.

Your Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the financial accounting of the German parent company (GmbH)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
• Prepare IFRS reporting packages for Group consolidation and reporting purposes
• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
• Ensure compliance with HGB, IFRS, tax regulations, and internal corporate policies
• Act as a key contact for accounting and reporting matters within the international group structure
• Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers
• Support tax-related matters and statutory audits
• Contribute to international finance and transformation projects
• Identify, drive, and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
• Further develop reporting, closing, and internal control processes
• Coordinate and manage external consultants and advisors when required
• Maintain financial documentation and support corporate governance requirements

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification
• Additional qualification as Certified Accountant, Bilanzbuchhalter, CPA, ACCA, or similar is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
• Sound understanding of financial accounting and reporting processes
• Approximately 4-5 years of professional experience in public accounting, auditing, or the finance function of an international organization
• Experience in preparing statutory financial statements and IFRS reporting packages
• Knowledge of German corporate tax regulations is an advantage
• SAP experience is desirable
• Strong analytical mindset and affinity for numbers and processes
• Ability to quickly understand and manage complex topics independently
• Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven working style
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international environment
• Hands-on mentality and the ability to perform well under pressure
• Fluent in English; German is required
• Turkish language skills are considered a plus
• Additional foreign language skills are welcomed
