Job summary

maxmatch Personalberatung GmbH is exclusively assisting the search for a Group Accountant (m/f/d) for a global market leader in the pooling of reusable packaging solutions, based in the southern Munich area. The role is full-time at headquarters with a hybrid work model.

You will consolidate IFRS, manage intercompany reconciliations, prepare IFRS financial statements, and work with external auditors and cross-functional teams in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in business administration, economics, or related field focusing on accounting, finance, or taxation.
• Professional experience in Group Accounting with consolidation focus.
• Experience IFRS consolidation and consolidation logic.
• Experience with a consolidation tool (OneStream, Hyperion, SAP BCS/BFC or similar).
• Fluent written and spoken English (C1+); German language skills are a plus.
• Structured, precise, proactive working style in an international matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Executing and supporting the monthly IFRS consolidation process for approximately 35 group entities in OneStream.
• Performing intercompany reconciliations and monitoring the global closing process and adherence to timelines.
• Supporting the preparation of the Group’s IFRS consolidated financial statements and coordinating required inputs from local entities.
• Applying consolidation techniques in practice, including debt consolidation, equity consolidation, and expense/income elimination.
• Supporting the application of group-wide accounting policies and IFRS standards (IFRS 3, 10 and 11).
• Actively using OneStream as the group consolidation tool and contributing to its ongoing optimization.
• Working closely with external auditors, advisors, and internal cross-functional teams (Controlling, Treasury, Tax, IT).

Currently, we are exclusively accompanying the search for a Group Accountant (m/f/d) for a global market leader in the pooling of reusable packaging solutions based in the southern Munich area.

The company operates successfully under the umbrella of renowned private equity investors. In the course of further growth and to strengthen the Group Accounting team, a Group Accountant (m/f/d) is sought full-time for the headquarters (hybrid work model).

Our client combines a sustainable, circular business model with the structures of a highly international environment. The company employs around 1,800 people in over 50 countries worldwide, works with the world's largest retailers and currently has over 380 million reusable containers in circulation.

The goal is to build additional capacity with you as the fourth team member in the HQ, increase resilience during closing periods and create space for the continuous optimization of finance processes.

Your responsibilities:

• Executing and supporting the monthly IFRS consolidation process for approximately 35 group entities in OneStream

Your profile:

• Successfully completed degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field with a focus on accounting, finance, or taxation
• Professional experience in Group Accounting with a strong hands-on focus in consolidation
• Solid practical experience in IFRS consolidation and a sound understanding of consolidation logic
• Experience with a consolidation tool (e.g. OneStream, Hyperion, SAP BCS/BFC or similar)
• Fluent written and spoken English (C1+ level), as the group language is English; German language skills are a plus
• Structured, precise, and proactive working style (self-starter) with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in an international matrix organization
