Ali Aydi is seeking a Graduate/Junior Structures Engineer to start a career in rocket structures. You will engage with design, analysis, manufacturing, materials, and testing, under the guidance of experienced engineers.

From day one you’ll work with real hardware, own tasks progressively, and contribute across the full development cycle. This role emphasizes curiosity, practical problem-solving, and hands-on learning in a fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in aerospace, mechanical, structural, or materials engineering (or in progress).
• Solid foundation in structural mechanics, materials science, or manufacturing.
• Hands-on student project experience in rocketry or aerospace.
• Curious, practical mindset with quick learning and collaborative skills.
• Experience with CAD or FEA in projects.
• Basic Python for data processing.
• German proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support rocket structures design from geometry to evaluation using CAD/FEA.
• Gain hands-on experience with filament winding and curing of composites.
• Assist structural tests and material characterisation including tensile tests, DSC, microscopy.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Python where useful.
• Document methods, results, and decisions clearly.
• Work with senior engineers and take on increasing ownership.

We are looking for a Graduate / Junior StructuresEngineer to begin your career in rocket structures and grow quickly through hands-on responsibility. You will have the opportunity to develop across design, analysis, manufacturing, materials, and testing while working closely with experienced structural engineers.

This role is designed for someone curious, practical, and eager to contribute wherever the team needs support. You will work with real hardware from day one and take on increasing ownership as your strengths and experience develop.

We're a Germany-based rocketry startup currently in stealth mode, scaling up rapidly to meet the demand for high-performance, reliable, and scalable solid propulsion technologies for space and defense applications.

We are already launching suborbital and ballistic rockets on a regular basis, have just crossed €10m in revenue for our first operating year and are applying our knowledge toward the development of an orbital rocket.

Key responsibilities

• Support the engineering of rocket structures, from geometry and modelling through to calculation and evaluation using CAD and FEA.
• Gain hands-on experience manufacturing and prototyping composite hardware using filament-winding machines and curing equipment.
• Help prepare and conduct structural tests and material-characterisation activities, including tensile testing, DSC, and microscopy.
• Process engineering data and automate repetitive tasks using Python where useful.
• Document methods, results, and technical decisions clearly.
• Work closely with senior engineers and take on increasing ownership as your skills develop.

What we are looking for

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace, mechanical, structural, or materials engineering, or a Master's degree currently in progress.
• A solid foundation in structural mechanics, materials science, or manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience from a student engineering team, particularly in rocketry, Formula Student, aerospace, or a similar practical environment.
• Genuine curiosity and a practical, quality-conscious mindset.
• The ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively, and contribute across design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing.
• Composite materials, filament winding, curing, or structural testing.
• CAD or FEA work through academic, personal, or extracurricular projects.
• Basic Python scripting for data processing or task automation.
• Working proficiency in German.
