In this project, participants contribute by reading and recording short, scripted prompts in German. These recordings are used to train and evaluate speech recognition models, enabling voice assistants and AI systems to better understand and respond to real-world users.

Task Summary

You will use the Appen Mobile app on your smartphone to record 150 short, scripted voice prompts in German. These prompts are brief spoken commands. Simply read each prompt clearly and naturally, and you’re done.

Requirements

• Must be a native speaker of German.
• Must be currently residing in Germany.
• Must be 18 years old or above.
• Must have a smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile app.

Payment

Get paid for just 2 hours of work — completed entirely on your smartphone, on your own schedule. Payment is issued upon completion of a full session of 150 prompts. If assigned fewer, payment is adjusted proportionally. The payment is $40 one‑time.

Please Note

This project follows a first‑come, first‑served approach and operates with demographic quotas to ensure fair and balanced representation across all participant groups. Some individuals may not receive a task assignment if their group has already been filled.
