What is The Role
We are hiring a Corporate Counsel with 4+ years of experience to join our International Commercial Legal department in Munich, Germany. The role reports to the Senior Director of International Commercial Legal and will support our Sales and Partner organizations in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.
What You Will Be Doing
- Negotiate and structure commercial contracts such as Cloud/SaaS, Software Subscription, Professional Services, and Data Processing Agreements, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Support Sales & RFP teams during procurement processes, review ITT/RFP requirements, draft legal responses, and advise on proposed terms.
- Engage with the Central Region Legal lead in Munich and the wider legal team across USA, EMEA, and APJ, as well as go‑to‑market stakeholders in finance and compliance.
- Assist EMEA & Global Legal team members on ad hoc projects as directed.
- Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on implications.
- Help build and strengthen workflow processes between Legal and other departments to enable dealmaking and compliance initiatives, including leveraging AI tools and automation opportunities.
What You Bring
- Qualified and legally permitted to practice law in Germany with 4+ years of drafting and negotiation experience in technology contracts.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, cyber and information security obligations, and ability to engage with technical and security teams.
- Experience and knowledge of relevant laws in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.
- Ability to balance legal risks with business strategy.
- Preferred experience in‑house or at a major national or international law firm.
- Proven ability to manage own time independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment with flexibility, patience, and humour.

- Self‑starter with track record of balancing multiple projects and adjusting advice with shifting priorities, developments, and risk tolerance.
- Experience or strong knowledge of complex software licensing, cloud business models, and related legal issues.
- Consistent delivery of outstanding results.
- Familiarity with data protection and privacy issues in technology transactions as a plus.
- Prior experience representing high‑growth companies.
- Collaborative and well‑functioning in a distributed team environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Fluency in written and spoken German.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Compensation
Typical starting salary range for this role is €85,300—€135,000 EUR. This role does not have a variable compensation component.
