Overview

Future Leaders Graduate Program - Analytics - Spring Edition. The Future Leaders Graduate Program - Business Analytics at Picnic is a two-year launchpad into a high-impact career, combining analytical thinking with hands-on execution. From day one, you’ll join a business team, take ownership of key projects, and grow into a future leader who helps turn opportunities into tangible results.

Picnic builds real solutions by integrating data, strategy, technology, and sustainability, including customer experience improvements and optimization of EV routes.

Responsibilities

• Lead with ambition: drive innovation and create visible impact by taking the driver’s seat on projects affecting tens of thousands of customers.
• Steep learning curve: participate in projects at the intersection of data, strategy, tech and sustainability; apply targeted leadership and tech training to build sustainable long-term solutions.
• Solve real-life puzzles: join a business team and contribute to high-impact projects from day one, blending training with immediate execution.
• Collaborate across borders: training primarily in Düsseldorf and Amsterdam; work with colleagues from French and Dutch markets on跨-border projects.

• Personalize the shopping experience for millions of app users.
• Minimize food waste to support sustainability goals.
• Build the future of robotic fulfilment and warehouse automation at scale.

From learning to leading

In the first six months you’ll own a business-critical project end-to-end, with mentorship, learning sessions, and feedback. You’ll develop leadership skills (project management, storytelling, stakeholder communication, feedback) while sharpening Python, SQL, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint skills. As the program progresses your scope will grow and you’ll have structured check-ins every six months to reflect and plan your development path. Projects aim to create direct value for business growth.

Start dates & location

Start dates: March, April, May. Location: full-time in Hamburg, with occasional trips to Amsterdam for training.

Your superpowers

• You’re about to graduate (or recently graduated) with a Masters in a quantitative field.
• Internships or student programs in high-performance, fast-paced environments; experience in top-tier strategy consulting is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: initiative, problem solving, and creative thinking.
• Builder mindset: hands-on, curious, and ready to challenge the status quo with practical solutions.
• Basic knowledge in PowerPoint, Python, SQL, R, or similar.
• EU citizenship or valid working permit is required.

Selection process

• 30-minute phone interview with recruiters
• Online skill-based assessment
• First-round interviews at Picnic Düsseldorf or Hamburg
• Case Day at Picnic HQ in Amsterdam (train & hotel covered)
• Final interview with a founder

Our selection process takes about 6 weeks from the first recruiter interview to offer.
