VisioLab in Berlin is hiring a Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) to shape the product experience of our AI checkout platform. You’ll own features from frontend to backend in a fast-growing startup, shipping high-impact capabilities for real-world environments.

You’ll work with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Firebase and GCP, building scalable, enterprise-ready solutions. Must be fluent in German and English and be based in Berlin or Osnabrück, ready for collaboration days with the team.

Qualifikationen

• Substantial experience building production-grade apps with React & Next.js.
• Serverless architectures and NoSQL databases (Firestore or MongoDB).
• Product-minded and capable of turning rough ideas into shipped features.
• Excellent communication in German and English.
• Based in or willing to commute to a German office (Berlin or Osnabrück).

The role

As a Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) at VisioLab, you'll play a critical role in shaping the product experience at the core of our AI checkout platform. This is not a maintenance role. It’s a build role. You’ll be working in a fast-growing startup where speed, ownership, and technical excellence are the default.

You'll join a lean, focused tech team and take full ownership of features that go live across some of the most demanding real-world environments, from major US stadiums to high-volume foodservice venues. You’ll help us evolve our entire product stack, from the customer-facing interface to backend systems that orchestrate real-time computer vision and payment flows.

What you'll do

• Scale the Platform: Help evolve our core product architecture to support global rollout across thousands of high-traffic locations. Your work will directly impact performance, reliability, and ease of deployment
• Build Enterprise-Ready Features: Design and deliver scalable self-service tools, admin dashboards, and workflows that serve both end-users and enterprise operators. You’ll create features that balance flexibility with simplicity and work out-of-the-box in real-world conditions.
• Integrate with Global Ecosystems: Connect our platform with third-party APIs for loyalty programs, inventory management, reporting, and more. You’ll design integration layers that are modular, reliable, and built for scale.
• Shape Technical Direction: Stay current on modern frameworks, serverless infrastructure, and fullstack best practices. You’ll bring new tools, patterns, and perspectives into the team and help define how we build as we grow.
• Own What You Ship: From design to deployment, you’ll take full ownership of your work, ensuring it meets the high standards our clients and users expect and iterating quickly based on real-world feedback.
• Tech that moves fast—like you. Build with TypeScript, React, and Next.js on the frontend. Power it all with Firebase and GCP on the backend. Ship fast using GitHub, design in Figma, and stay synced via Slack and Google Workspace.

What you'll bring

• Deep Expertise with React: You have substantial experience building production-grade applications with React and Next.js.
• Serverless Experience: You understand the patterns, limitations, and best practices of serverless architectures and NoSQL databases (specifically Firestore or MongoDB).
• Product Mindset: You can take a rough feature requirement and turn it into a shipped solution without needing pixel-perfect hand-holding.
• Communication: You speak German and English fluently and possess excellent communication skills.
• Location: You are based in (or willing to commute to) one of our German offices (Berlin or Osnabrück) for regular collaboration days.
