Zusammenfassung

Pirate Ship Software GmbH is seeking a part-time software engineer to migrate a classic MVC to a modern SPA with a GraphQL API and a React frontend. You will expand the test suite using PHPUnit, Codeception, and Cypress, and implement monitoring with Datadog.

Emphasis on clean architecture and scalable design. The role also involves modular refactoring and scaling databases with Aurora MySQL, TimescaleDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional SaaS experience.
• Proficient in PHP 8 and SQL; experienced with React and TypeScript.
• Fluent German (C2) and fluent English (C1) required.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, testing, and CI/CD.

Aufgaben

• Experience with web and software development in an agile team
• Experience with modern architectures, design patterns, and clean-code best practices
• PHP 8 and SQL
• Unit, integration, and acceptance testing with Codeception, PHPUnit, and Cypress

• RESTful APIs
• German at a negotiating level (C2)
• English at a fluent level (C1)
• Nice to have: Apollo, GraphQL, security best practices, fraud detection, pentesting, CI/CD with GitLab, AWS Cloud, Docker
• Candidates must not expect fully established end-to-end processes, require detailed instructions, or prefer working as isolated individual contributors
