The School of Business and Economics invites applications for a
Full Professorship in “Competition Policy” (W2)
starting April 1st, 2027.
The professorship is to represent the field of competition policy in research and teaching and will be integrated in the School’s Microeconomic Research Group. Desirable assets of the candidate are a theoretical orientation and the willingness to cooperate actively in both the CRC 190 (Rationality and Competition) and the Berlin School of Economics (BSoE).
In teaching, the appointee is to contribute to the bachelor, master and PhD programs of the School. This includes the teaching of core and elective courses in the respective programs as well as the active support and promotion of young academics within the BSoE.
The School attaches great importance to pedagogical commitment and active participation in the acquisition of third-point funding. A capacity for networking as well as a willingness to engage in academic self-management are expected. In addition to the duties established in Section 99 of the Berliner Higher Education Act (BerlHG), applicants are expected to have the ability to lead staff and promoting young academics.
The applicants must meet the legal requirements for professional appointments in accordance with § 100 of the ´Berliner Hochschulgesetz` (BerlHG). The willingness to acquire any missing knowledge of the German language within a reasonable period of time (approx. 3 years) is expected.
