Zusammenfassung

zooplus, headquartered in Munich, is seeking a senior manager to lead our Fulfillment Operations across European FCs. You will partner with outsourced centres, drive continuous improvement, and ensure service levels, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

As a key leader, you will coordinate with HQ and cross-functional teams, oversee multiple FCs, and implement standards, KPIs, and dashboards to support scalable growth. Hybrid work model with European scope.

Qualifikationen

• Several years in 3rd party logistics or warehouse leadership (e-commerce/B2C preferred).
• Strong process and material flow analysis / intralogistics knowledge.
• Lean Management / Six Sigma experience.
• Experience leading medium to large, complex projects.
• Solid understanding of e-commerce fulfillment requirements.
• People management experience.

Aufgaben

• Manage relationships between the logistics provider and Zooplus.
• Monitor supplier performance, KPIs, and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct weekly business reviews and GEMBA walks with follow-up on issues.
• Analyze service levels and cost to optimize overall operations.
• Drive warehouse process improvements with providers and teams.
• Lead projects related to operations, improvement, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with headquarter and cross-functional teams across Europe.
• Uphold Zooplus quality standards with external logistics partners.
• Control material flow and monitor inventory of consumables.
• Direct reporting to the Regional Manager Fulfillment Operations.
• Support strategic development of the Fulfillment Team.
• Work with service providers and Engineering on capacity upgrades.
• Contribute to monthly/quarterly business reviews.
• Own end-to-end FC network process standards, metrics, and dashboards.
• Train FC managers on processes and metrics reviews.
• Lead benchmarking and metrics reviews with FC managers.
• Support FC launches and oversee multiple FCs as needed.

Job Description

In order to be able to supply our customers across Europe quickly and follow our quality standards, our European distribution centers / Fulfilment Centres (FCs) are an integral part of the Zooplus network.

In this function, the manager understands the FC as a holistic process that begins with inbound shipments management and ends with deliveries meeting the satisfaction of the customer at their doorstep. With the on-site team at multiple outsourced FCs, the daily tasks and challenges include ensuring the highest customer service, quality, punctuality, efficiency and cost optimization enabled by collaboration with our service partners. A constantly high level of process stability and transparency on production, together with a continuous improvement mind-set, is key for success.

• Manage relationships and act as a liaison between the logistics service provider and Zooplus
• Monitoring and managing supplier performance, KPIs and supplier reports and leading corrective actions
• Conducting weekly business reviews and GEMBA walks, including the follow-up of identified issues
• Analyzing service levels and cost
• Drive Continuous improvement of warehouse processes in collaboration with the logistics service providers
• Support and lead projects related to operations linked to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
• Close cooperation with headquarter and cross-functional teams across Europe
• Drive Zooplus quality expectations and standards together with our external Logistics-Service-Provider
• Controlling and improving material flow processes proactively and reacting in a timely manner for issue resolution
• Responsible for inventory levels of consumables, optimizing usage and monitoring delivery timeliness
• Direct reporting to the Regional Manager Fulfillment Operations
• Help to drive the strategic development of the Fulfillment Team
• Collaborate with the service provider and the Engineering team to investigate further capacity increase projects
• Contributing to monthly and quarterly business reviews
• End-to-end responsibility as Subject-Matter Expert for FC network-related processes:
• • develop process standards and implement them, request and support design metrics, KPIs, tools and dashboards;
  • train other FC managers on the processes and
  • lead processes related to regular metrics reviews and benchmarking with all FC managers
• Supporting FC launches
• Taking over the responsibility for more than one FC

Qualifications

• Several working years and strong experience in 3rd party logistics on provider and/or customer side (e-commerce/ B2C preferred) or experience leading as site leader of a warehouse
• Profound methodological competence in the areas of process and material flow analysis respectively, intralogistics
• Lean Management / Six Sigma experience
• Experience in leading medium complex to complex role related projects
• Sound understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes and technical requirements
• First people management skill
