JustWatch delivers data-driven digital marketing for the global entertainment business, from the biggest blockbusters to award-winning shows and major sporting events. We are entertainment-obsessed ourselves, fueling the world's largest streaming guide, which in turn gives us unparalleled insights into audience behaviours and content tastes.

The Front-end engineering team is responsible for developing JustWatch.com, which receives over 60 million visits a month, and the iOS & Android applications, with over 4 million installs. Together, these help users discover, start, and manage their streaming journeys.

You’ll be joining the web development team, which focuses on rapid, experiment-driven feature development, monetisation optimisations, and deep tracking integration, which informs business-wide decisions.

As a Mid-level Front-end Developer, you’ll be joining a team of high-octane and passionate devs who get to work on projects from start to finish with full autonomy and ownership. We trust the skills, opinions, and insights that you bring to your work and interactions with other teams across the company.

You’ll work on projects like developing new application features around content discovery, optimising different monetisation strategies of the site, as well as improving the SEO and Application performance metrics of the site.

To succeed at JustWatch, you’ll need to be able to manage multiple projects at once, rotating over them as priorities update depending on external clients, SEO changes, and user signals.

We strongly encourage regular and open communication to create a pull rather than push project management approach, whether you’re in the office or remote.

What we need from you

• Have a side project/startup (in-development or live) and/or entrepreneurial spirit.
• Experience with a modern SSR JS framework, TypeScript, Webpack & Vite, performance monitoring, and improvements.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team, closely collaborating with other Frontend Developers, Backend Developers & Product Managers.
• Project management (working on multiple projects at once, keeping stakeholders up to date).
• Rapid development (deployments, testing, monitoring).
• Constant learning, delivering results, and creating value are the core characteristics of everyone at JustWatch, and we are looking for these values in every person we hire.
• Core understanding of SEO
• Comfortable working with Git
• Excellent written and spoken communication in English

What you will work on

• Implementing video streaming technologies on JustWatch
• Redesign of the JustWatch home page, the first point of contact for millions of visits
• You can give feedback early on in the design phases
• Implement multiple design variants in the experiment framework
• Eventually, make a data-driven decision on the winning variant and integrate it fully
• Based on revenue and application tracking, optimise the selection and distribution of streaming offers
• Through a dynamic, global optimisation system we’ve built and continue to improve
