Lampenwelt GmbH is seeking a Frontend Lead Developer to shape the frontend landscape across our Magento-based ecommerce shop, dashboards, and internal apps. You will define practical frontend standards, guide technical decisions, and turn business requirements into clear, reliable applications.

You will lead frontend projects, collaborate with UX and backend teams, and drive reusable patterns, accessibility, and performance.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience building modern web applications and leading frontend projects.
• Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, and frontend patterns.
• Experience guiding frontend teams and communicating with stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

Company Description

We are looking for a Frontend Lead Developer to shape and improve the frontend applications used across our company. You will define practical frontend standards, guide technical decisions, and turn business and technical requirements into clear, reliable, and easy to use applications.

This role sits at the centre of several digital products, including dashboards, internal applications, PIM and integration solutions, and our Magento based ecommerce shop. You will bring structure to our frontend landscape through a clear architecture, reusable patterns, and modern engineering practices. You will also help us use AI responsibly in the way we design, build, test, and improve frontend applications.

Where your expertise is needed

• Lead the development of scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend technologies
• Establish clear frontend architecture principles, design patterns, coding standards, and reusable components across dashboards, internal applications, ecommerce features, and business tools
• Shape the frontend architecture of our Magento based ecommerce shop and help improve its usability, performance, and maintainability
• Guide the UX team on frontend feasibility, interaction patterns, component reuse, accessibility, and responsive design
• Discuss requirements, priorities, and possible solutions with business stakeholders and turn them into clear technical concepts
• Evaluate frontend technologies and recommend solutions that fit the needs of the business and the wider technical landscape
• Stay involved from the first idea through implementation, testing, release, and continuous improvement
• Apply AI tools and agentic engineering practices to improve frontend development, testing, documentation, and support processes
• Design frontend experiences that work effectively with AI powered features, assistants, agents, and automated workflows

What Will Help You Master Future Challenges

• Several years of experience building modern web applications, including experience leading frontend projects or guiding frontend teams
• Strong skills in JavaScript or TypeScript and solid experience with React and its surrounding ecosystem
• A practical understanding of reusable components, design systems, frontend testing, accessibility, web performance, and responsive design
• Strong AI proficiency and a clear understanding of how AI can support software development and business applications
• Experience with agentic engineering, including AI assisted development, tool using agents, workflow orchestration, evaluation, and human oversight
• Experience working with APIs, data intensive applications, authentication, and integrations between frontend and backend systems
• The ability to work with teams that have different products, priorities, and technical requirements
• The ability to turn broad business needs into clear frontend strategies, patterns, and working solutions
• A hands on approach - You enjoy setting direction, but you also like to write code and solve problems with the team
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to explain technical decisions to both technical and business stakeholders
• Fluent English at C1 level or above. German is a plus
