Oniq in Köln is seeking a Frontend Developer to drive the development of their software platform. You will collaborate closely with the Product Team to create user-centric features and maintain a high-quality codebase.

What you will do

As part of our Product Team, you will drive the frontend development of our ONIQ software and realize frontend features and UI/UX workflows in close collaboration with product management. You will work in a self‑managed and self‑organized manner according to Agile and DevOps principles and practices. Together with the Product Team, you will:

• Develop our frontend web application, e.g. creating analysis workflows for our customers based on complex production data, developing the architecture of the application, developing visualizations that render large amounts of data, writing tests and enhancing our testing capabilities
• Own features from start to end. Get to shape the feature while collaborating with other team members across the organization and actively contribute towards providing a great UI/UX to enterprise manufacturing companies
• Maintain and extend frontend codebase, keep the UI/UX code consistent across the application, avoiding technical debt and adhering to security best practices
• Actively participate in the agile development process and continuously improve the teams development practices
• Participate in knowledge transfer across the team

What we expect from you

• Experience working as a front‑end developer (React, Typescript, CSS and HTML), ideally featuring data intensive applications and advanced analytics tools
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest/Vitest, Storybook, Cypress)
• Ability to leverage modern AI‑assisted development tools
• Interest in being challenged by developing a scalable web app with strong UX focus to deliver process insights to our customers based on big data
• Willingness to immerse yourself and become an expert in a SaaS B2B product for manufacturing processes and the manufacturing domain in general
• High levels of organizational skills, ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership
• Excellent communication skills in English, in particular the ability to explain complex topics
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Python (pandas, polars, FastAPI) is a big plus but not required
• Motivation to spend time with the team in person. We value the energy that comes from working together at our Cologne or Berlin office, so one on‑site day per week is the minimum, and more time together is always welcome whenever it works for you
