Mindrift is seeking a Machine Learning expert for remote freelance collaboration on GenAI tasks. You’ll design problems, implement solutions in Python, and contribute to challenging, scalable workflows.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS, Math, Physics, Engineering or similar STEM field.
• 5+ years of Machine Learning experience with business impact.
• Strong Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn).
• Solid numerical methods and computational algorithms knowledge.
• Research or industry experience involving computational problem-solving.
• English level advanced (C1) or higher.
• Ready to learn, able to switch between tasks and topics quickly, and work with complex guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design computational STEM problems that simulate real scientific workflows.
• Create problems requiring Python programming to solve.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and not solvable manually within days/weeks.
• Develop problems needing non-trivial reasoning chains and creative approaches.
• Verify solutions using Python with numpy, pandas, scipy, sklearn.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

About The Role

GenAI models are improving very quickly, and one of our goals is to make them capable of addressing specialized questions and achieving complex reasoning skills. If you join the platform as a Machine Learning expert, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate on these projects.

• Design original computational STEM problems that simulate real scientific workflows
• Create problems that require Python programming to solve
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes (days/weeks)
• Develop problems requiring non-trivial reasoning chains and creative problem-solving approaches
• Verify solutions using Python with standard libraries (numpy, pandas, scipy, sklearn)
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers

Compensation

On this project, contributors can earn up to $58 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution.

Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their requirements.

Requirements

• You hold a Master's or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a similar STEM field
• You have at least 5 years of Machine Learning experience with proven business impact
• Strong programming skills in Python (numpy, pandas, scipy, sklearn)
• Solid understanding of numerical methods and computational algorithms
• Research or industry experience involving computational problem-solving
• Your level of English is advanced (C1) or above
• You are ready to learn new methods, able to switch between tasks and topics quickly and sometimes work with challenging, complex guidelines
• Our freelance role is fully remote so, you just need a laptop, internet connection, time available and enthusiasm to take on a challenge
