Zusammenfassung

Technology & Strategy in Lindenberg im Allgäu seeks an FPGA Design Engineer (m/f/d) to shape high‑precision aerospace systems. You will design RTL modules (VHDL/Verilog), simulate and optimize timing, and derive FPGA specifications for safety‑critical applications.

You will work with DO‑254 standards, collaborate across hardware, software and systems teams, and contribute to documentation and integration of FPGA modules into aircraft systems.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in FPGA design, ideally within the aerospace or avionics domain.
• Strong knowledge of VHDL/Verilog and hands-on experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx, Intel, Microchip).
• Practical experience in modeling, simulation and verification of digital circuits (e.g. ModelSim, Questa, Riviera‑PRO).
• Experience with safety‑critical development standards, preferably DO‑254.
• Familiarity with requirements engineering tools (e.g. DOORS) is a plus.
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, are essential for internal and external communication.

• Technical communication with internal stakeholders and external partners

Your Profile

A permanent employment contract is offered.

The position is compensated within the IG Metall collective agreement framework. The salary development includes several salary adjustments within the first 12 months. The average annual salary during the first year of employment is €77,000. Following the completion of this adjustment phase, the annual salary from the 13th to the 47th month is €100,000.
