Trust In SODA, an ambitious medi-tech startup, is hiring a Founding Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the core team in Munich. You will influence technical vision, shape architecture, and own features from concept to deployment in a high-ownership environment.

As one of the first engineers, you’ll build scalable backend and frontend components using Python and FastAPI, collaborate with founders, implement robust CI/CD, and help guide the product direction as the company grows.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong backend development experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of SDLC principles.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in startup/scale-up environments with high ownership.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the founding team, shape the technical vision, and play a pivotal role in building and scaling a product from the ground up. As one of the first engineering hires, you'll have significant influence over architecture, technology decisions, engineering culture, and product direction.

We're looking for someone who thrives in high-ownership environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and is excited by the challenge of building technology that can have real-world impact.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and scale backend systems and customer-facing web applications
• Own product features from concept through to deployment and optimisation
• Work closely with founders and cross-functional teams to shape product strategy
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure software architectures
• Build and maintain APIs and backend services
• Drive engineering best practices, testing, and code quality standards
• Implement and improve CI/CD processes and deployment workflows
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Required Experience

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong backend development experience with Python and FastAPI
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles
• Experience working with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience operating in startup, scale-up, or similarly high-ownership environments
• Strong communication skills with fluent written and spoken English

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, or insurance
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Previous experience as an early engineering hire or founding engineer
