Aampere is a seed-stage EV marketplace startup redefining the European used EV market. Join as one of our early engineers to shape architecture and ship features that matter.

You will own frontend, backend, and infrastructure, building fast, reliable systems while collaborating with a team that values ownership and quick iteration. German language is a plus; office-based in Munich with four days on site.

Qualifikationen

As one of our early engineers, you will have a real say in how we build, not just what. We have achieved 4x YoY revenue growth and hold more than 1 % market share of German consumer EV resales — and we’re just getting started.

Our team comes from the German startup ecosystem, with experience at Autarc, Greenforce, Cardino, Wemolo, Alasco, Porsche, and Mercedes.

Your Mission

• End-to-End Ownership: Build and own features from idea to production. Frontend, backend, infrastructure — whatever it takes to ship something that works.
• Frontend Craft: Build clean, performant UIs with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind. Focus on the user experience.
• Backend Engineering: Design and maintain scalable services and RESTful APIs with TypeScript, Nest.js, and PostgreSQL. Ensure reliable data flow.
• Business‑driven Engineering: Understand what you’re building and why. Connect technical decisions to outcomes and act without being asked.
• AI‑native Development: Use AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Code, etc.) as a core part of your workflow — not as a gimmick, but as a lever for speed and quality.

What You Bring

• Experience: 3–6+ years building production systems across the full stack.
• Stack: Confident with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Nest.js, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
• Ownership: Solve problems end-to-end: architecture, implementation, deployment, iteration.
• Founding Mindset: Energized by ambiguity, not slowed down by it. Built things from 0 → 1 before – or have been hungry to.
• Been there before: Worked at a VC‑backed startup—knows what “move fast” means and didn’t run away.
• Communication: Clear communicator in English. German is a plus.
• Infra: Experience with AWS and GitLab CI/CD.

Aampere isn’t for you if…

• You want to work mostly remote. We believe the best ideas happen when people are in the same room. That is why you are in our office at least four days a week.
• You want to join a mature engineering org with established playbooks. We’re writing ours right now.
• You need a finished plan before you start. Seed stage means a lot is unclear and changes week to week. You have to be comfortable making decisions in the dark and correcting course as you go.
• You want to stay in your lane. “That is not my job” is not a thing here. You jump in where it matters, even when it sits outside your job description.
• You want a classic 9‑to‑5. We are building something big, and that does not happen on the side.
