Your mission

As our Founder’s Associate, your mission is to keep Ucaneo running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll oversee critical internal processes — from financial planning and grant coordination to operational administration such as inventory and visa support. You’ll help shape our company culture through well‑organized events and smooth team operations. Working closely with the founders, you’ll build scalable systems that drive clarity, efficiency, and sustainable growth across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Control – manage company spending and invoicing through our financial tool, support budgeting and reporting cycles, and maintain up-to-date business plans and financial models.
  • Grant & Funding Management – prepare financial documentation for public grants and funding programs, ensuring compliance, timely submissions, and accurate reporting.
  • Asset & Inventory Management – establish and maintain an organized inventory of company assets, lab and office equipment, and procurement records.
  • People & Operations – support HR administration, onboarding, and visa processes while coordinating procurement, contracts, and vendor relations.
  • Culture & Events – organize company events, offsites, and team travel, fostering collaboration and a strong team culture across the organization.
Your profile

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years in a Finance, Controlling, or Operations role, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis, familiarity with expense management systems, and solid understanding of key SaaS metrics and business fundamentals. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (mandatory).
  • Strong numerical and problem‑solving abilities; data‑driven decision‑maker.
  • Highly structured, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Fluency in German and strong working proficiency in English.
