Ai Futures is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead on-site deployments of mobile robots. You will survey sites, commission systems and hand over operations, setting up mapping/localisation and autonomous missions on customer sites.

The role blends software and hardware work, with frequent travel and direct interaction with customers. You will be the technical face of the company, train operators, and gather field learnings to inform product development.

Qualificações

• Has deployed mobile robots in the field (AMRs, UGVs, legged robots or drones).
• Background as Forward Deployed, Field Application, Commissioning or Robotics Integration Engineer.
• Comfortable across software and hardware: Linux, ROS / ROS 2, networking and sensors.
• Customer facing and calm under pressure on site.
• German at B1 or above.
• Full driving licence and willing to travel regularly to customer sites.

Responsabilidades

AI Futures are partnered with a fast-moving mobile robotics company on a Search for a Forward Deployed Engineer.

This team is solving one of the biggest problems in robotics: getting robots out of the lab and running reliably in real customer operations, at scale. Their autonomous systems are already heading into live sites, and they are now building the founding engineering team that will make every deployment faster than the last. This is a founding hire with real ownership and equity, and you will shape how the company deploys and grows.

The Role

• Own customer deployments end to end, from site survey and commissioning through to handover
• Set up mapping, localisation and autonomous missions on site
• Integrate robots with customer networks, sensors and existing systems

The Candidate

• Has deployed mobile robots in the field before (AMRs, UGVs, legged robots or drones)
• Background as a Forward Deployed, Field Application, Commissioning or Robotics Integration Engineer

Nice to have

• Multi-robot or fleet management experience
• Field robotics or inspection background
• Early-stage start-up experience
