Siemens is seeking a Senior AI Solution Architect to lead fast, high-impact architecture engagements across enterprise environments. You will translate complex business problems into viable AI blueprints, design cross-platform solutions, and guide teams through scalable, cost-aware decisions.

Your deep AI/ML expertise and hands-on coding with Python and TypeScript will inform prototype work and robust production-grade designs, ensuring seamless handover and governance from day one.

As a Senior AI Solution Architect in our Forward Deployed Engineering team, you see the whole board before a single line of code is written. You partner directly with business leaders across Siemens to map complex challenges to existing data, design cross-platform architectures spanning cloud and enterprise systems, and make critical build-versus-buy decisions in days rather than quarters. You bridge deep technical AI expertise with systems thinking, acting as a force multiplier that enables agile engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions reliably and repeatedly.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Driving rapid solution architecture as the first technical expert in every engagement, translating complex business problems into viable technical blueprints within days.
• Designing interconnected solutions across the entire enterprise landscape, leveraging SDC for workloads while integrating seamlessly with SAP, Salesforce, and cloud-native services.
• Owning crucial architecture decisions regarding cost, latency, scalability, and stack selection, while documenting clear justifications for every trade-off.
• Evaluating emerging AI technologies with rigorous skepticism, providing evidence-backed adoption recommendations and having the courage to say "not ready yet."
• Staying actively involved in the codebase through technical spikes, prototype development, and pull-request reviews to ensure your architectures remain grounded in reality.
• Designing from day one for seamless handover, establishing explicit interface contracts, evaluation harnesses, and operational runbooks so domain teams can run systems autonomously.

Your defining qualities:

• Education: You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a comparable quantitative field, where a proven track record of shipped systems outweighs advanced degrees.
• Experience & Skills:
  • You bring 8 or more years of experience in software architecture, AI/ML systems design, or solution architecture, including at least 3 years focused on complex enterprise AI solutions.
  • You demonstrate a robust history of customer-facing delivery and technical leadership, especially when navigating demanding or high-pressured stakeholder environments.
  • You posses hands-on coding capabilities in Python alongside TypeScript or JavaScript, allowing you to write production-grade code and build functional prototypes.
  • You provide expertise in cross-platform system design by successfully integrating disparate enterprise environments like SAP, Salesforce, and modern cloud services.
  • You exhibit deep knowledge of the modern AI stack, covering LLM failure modes, RAG architectures, evaluation metrics, vector stores, and prominent agent frameworks.
  • You bring working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP) sufficient to design scalable multi-platform workloads.
• Ways of working:
  • You demonstrate the critical ability to evaluate emerging technologies objectively, separate genuine value from hype, and communicate technical realities clearly.
  • You display exceptional live communication skills to sketch defensible architectures in real-time meetings and explain them fluently in business terms.
• Languages: You have fluent English language skills, complemented by strong German proficiency as an advantageous asset for local stakeholder engagements.
