What You’ll Do

Our BCG X teams own the full analytics value‑chain end to end: framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to fully embrace AI. Our product offerings span from fully custom builds to industry‑specific leading‑edge AI software solutions.

As a Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist, you will apply data science methods and analytics to real‑world business situations across industries, drive significant business impact, and partner with clients on key topics such as climate change. You will develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities, write papers, and lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.

What You’ll Bring

• Comfortable in a client‑facing role with the ambition to lead teams
• Excellent at distilling complex results or processes into simple, clear visualizations
• Ability to explain sophisticated data‑science concepts in an understandable manner
• Passion for building things and comfortable working with modern development tools; software development or DevOps experience is a bonus
• Significant experience applying advanced analytics to a variety of business situations and a proven ability to synthesize complex data
• Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, with the ability to translate this into business implications for clients
• Strong project management skills and ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both German and English (C1/C2)
• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field of study – please provide all academic certificates (A‑level, Bachelor, Master)
