Job Description

This position will focus on facility level Food Safety and Quality activities. Primarily responsible for assisting in the management of the food safety program. Assist in assuring that employees follow all food safety, legal, quality, process control policies and regulations. Assist with internal food safety and GMP inspections, auditing facility compliance against Company food safety, food quality standards and procedures and maintaining internal audit and inspection reports. Keep management informed of conformances, non-conformances, and deficiencies. Assist in root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions. Assist in the maintenance of food safety and quality systems, including verification of records, retention and storage of documents and data entry into various forms and spreadsheets. Perform product testing with a high level of accuracy using documented procedures and standards. Employ good laboratory practices including proper labeling and storage of reagents, accurate recordkeeping of results, and prescribed retention and disposition.
