Job Description

We are looking for an engaged firefighter (m/f/d) for an intensive role at the U.S. Army garrison fire department. In this position you are assigned to a dedicated firefighting team that is responsible for emergency response at multiple Army installation sites and faces diverse and complex hazard scenarios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full spectrum of emergency operations assigned to a garrison fire department, including firefighting in situations involving flammable liquids, explosives, mass destructive weapons and radioactive materials.
  • Execute operations in critical facilities such as maintenance plants, communication sites, munitions depots, buildings with automated data processing systems, large warehouses, assembly points, schools, theatres, and family residential areas.
  • Respond to hazardous‑material incidents and conduct related support and rescue work associated with garrison facilities and operations.
  • Collaborate directly with foreign‑country fire‑force teams that use different regulations, guidelines and equipment, ensuring effective and safe cooperation by possessing in‑depth knowledge of foreign‑country protocols, procedures and gear.
