Jobbeschreibung
Über uns

Revent is an early‑stage venture firm backing Europe’s most talented founders building companies that truly matter. We focus on the founders who don’t just want to build a unicorn – they want to leave a legacy, to improve our collective future. As a firm, we work relentlessly hard to earn the right to partner with outlier individuals. We’ve invested in companies such as Avelios Medical (Sequoia subsequently led their Series A), Tem Energy (Series A led by Atomico), and several yet‑unannounced rounds with Tier 1 funds, and are currently deploying a fresh €110M fund. With this new fund, we will invest in 35 ultra‑early‑stage companies all pushing the boundaries in AI, software, and frontier tech.

Tasks

We are hiring a Finance Manager to join Revent full‑time as soon as possible as a core member of our Finance & Operations function. This role is critical to the smooth, scalable, and compliant running of the firm and our funds. You will work closely with the VP Finance, partners, the investment team, and external service providers to ensure that Revent’s financial operations are best‑in‑class, robust, and future‑proof. We deliberately keep our team small, so this is a high‑impact role with broad exposure and real responsibility from day one. Your job description is simple: contribute meaningfully to making Revent a durable, well‑run, and scalable venture firm. The day‑to‑day is diverse and hands‑on, and will call on your judgment, precision, and ownership mentality on a regular basis.

  • Work closely with our VP Finance to gain first‑hand insights on how a VC fund operates.
  • Support the VP Finance in preparing and continuously improving investor reporting.
  • Shape and further develop our portfolio‑controlling function.
  • Manage portfolio reporting and prepare KPI analyses for the VP Finance and the investment team.
  • Collaborate closely with external accountants, tax advisors and service providers and manage the preparation of the financial statements of the various companies of Revent.
  • Support and help maintain compliance‑related processes, including KYC / AML documentation, regulatory filings, and internal compliance workflows, in close coordination with external advisors.
  • Keep our portfolio database up‑to‑date, the preparatory accounting, payment transactions and legal housekeeping.
  • Support cross‑functional operational projects across HR, marketing, and other internal functions.
Requirements

We care much more about your core attributes, attitude, and trajectory than your CV. That said, we are looking for someone who brings a high‑IQ, high‑EQ, low‑ego, strong ownership mentality, and sound judgment. We want you to thrive in a small, high‑performance team and help shape our finance department into a professional, future‑proof practice.

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a fast‑paced environment, e.g., Big 4 (Audit, Transaction Services, Advisory) / Fund operations or fund administration.
  • Experience in fund operations / finance is a plus.
  • Strong fundamentals in accounting & financial reporting.
  • A structured, reliable working style and the ability to operate independently.
  • Curiosity for the venture capital industry.
  • Comfort working closely with senior stakeholders in a small, high‑performance team.
  • Fluency in English and German.
Practicalities

Immediate availability preferred. This role is based in Revent’s Berlin office. We are not sponsoring working visas, meaning you must already have the right to work full‑time in Germany. Compensation is between €50,000 – €75,000 annually depending on experience, plus an annual performance‑based bonus.

How to Apply

The application process will remain open until February 5th, 2026. That said, we review applications on a rolling basis and so there is an advantage to applying earlier. After submitting the application form, if applicable, you will receive a link to a video task. After this, we will get in touch with you within two weeks if we’d like to move forward with your application. From there, the process consists of several interviews with the finance & Revent team, a case study, and time together in person to ensure mutual fit.
