Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly professional, experiencedFinance Manager for our legal entity in Germany. As part of the Leadership Team, this role is pivotal in shaping the financial success of 3 of our sites (Neuss, Flensburg and Bremen) and its positive contribution to our overall business. This role will provide strategic financial insights and be active in the delivery, development and continuous improvement of the key department responsibilities, from supervising operational/transactional activities and compliance to internal and external financial reporting, planning and analysis. The successful candidate will be supported by a small team of qualified and part-qualified accounts professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
- Implement and maintain a robust control system and perform regular checks to ensure full compliance with internal group policies, local regulations and applicable accounting standards
- Maintainandupholdadocumentedsystemofaccountingpoliciesandproceduresinaccordancewithlocallegalandinternalaccountingstandards.
- Manageanddevelopateamoffinancespecialists,fosteringacollaborativeandhigh-performanceenvironment.
- Review and approval invoices, payments, journal and reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow (AR/AP), maintain fixed assets, and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and corporate secretariesto support the company's financial health.
- HandleVATaccounting,projectcostmanagement,andforeigncurrencytransactions.
- Provide input for various growth and strategic initiatives as a key member of the local management team.
- Provide advice and drive initiatives to improve the financial performance, e.g. drive working capital, operation net cash low and business performance.
- Conductfinancialanalysis,variancereporting,andprovidestrategicinsightstosupportdecision-making.
- Performregularvarianceanalysisfromthebudget,reportingsignificantdeviationstomanagement.
- Providefinancialanalysesasneededandmonitorprojectmarginsandreportanyvariances.
- Supportexternalauditsandcoordinatethepreparationofthecorporateannualreport.
- Drive the development of financial and non-financial performance measures that support the consolidated company's strategic direction.
Education and Experience
- UniversitydegreeinFinance and Accounting,BusinessAdministration, Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Minimum 8-10yearsof relevant work experience, preferably in the MRO industry (equipment after-sales business).
- CPAorequivalent considered as a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing the Finance administration for a small or mid-sized company, ideally for an international company
- Proficiency in Multinational Financial Reporting Standards and local statutory requirements
- Excellent command of spoken and written English in addition to German
- Proficiency in ERP & MS Office tools
