Zusammenfassung

Eaton in Gilching, Germany, is seeking a Finance Manager to provide financial leadership for the site as a business partner and change agent.

You will drive capex, working capital, forecasting, cost accounting, and performance tracking to ensure plant targets are met and operations run efficiently.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, preferably international.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing finance, with focus on cost accounting/plant controlling.
  • 2 years of data analytics experience preferred.

Aufgaben

  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and performance metrics for operations and KPIs.
  • Decision Support: Provide insights to support operational decisions and capital projects.
  • Driving initiatives (CAPEX and working capital) and influence changes to improve productivity.
  • Collaborative Planning: Develop action plans with operations and monitor implementation.
  • Financial Modeling: Build models to assess impact of scenarios on performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and propose mitigations.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs and targets for the plant.
  • Cost Management: Control costs while maintaining quality.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory to maximize cash.
  • Talent Management: Support hiring and development; succession planning.
  • Forecasting: Lead site-wide forecasts and profit planning.
  • Cost Accounting: Analyze costs and provide management insights.
  • Inter-site coordination to align forecasts and execution.
  • Champion finance culture as business partners with centralized vs site roles.

Our site in Gilching, Germany, is an agile hub for our aerospace expertise. As part of the Aerospace Group’s Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division, our Gilching location plays a key role in delivering customer-focused innovations and solutions for commercial and military aerospace manufacturers worldwide.

As a Finance Manager you will provide financial leadership to the Gilching, Germany facility, serving as a business partner and as a change agent to drive plant continuous improvement actions and to achieve overall plant targets. This role connects finance processes with operations, providing guidance, driving actions, and financial insights to ensure operational strategies and decisions will lead to the expected results.

What You’ll Do
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and performance metrics related to the operations to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Drives accountability for results and defining key performance metrics together with business leaders.
  • Decision Support: Provide financial insights and analysis to support operational decision-making, such as evaluating capital deployment opportunities or new projects.
  • Driving initiatives (including CAPEX and working capital) and influence changes: ensure productivity improvements and growth in areas such as operational excellence, continuous improvement, quality and supply chain management.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with the operations team to develop action plans, strategies, and initiatives based on financial insights. Drive and monitor the implementation of the plans.
  • Financial Modeling: Create financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on operational performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks within the operations and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to evaluate performance against targets.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage operational costs to achieve efficiency and cost‑reduction while maintaining quality.
  • Inventory Management: Implement inventory control actions and initiatives to maximize operational profitability while maximizing cash.
  • Talent Management: Build organizational capability through successful hiring, talent development, and succession planning in the business.
  • Forecasting: Lead the main financial processes for the periodic site forecasts and profit plan.
  • Cost Accounting: Analyze and interpret financial data related to the costs incurred by a company during its operations with the primary objective of providing valuable insights to management, enabling informed decisions regarding cost efficiency, pricing strategies, and overall financial performance.
  • Partner with sister sites to ensure inter/intra‑company accuracy and alignment for periodic forecast and monthly execution.
  • Champion the finance culture change at the plant level, aiding the finance team to operate as business partners. In partnership with the transformation management office, review finance roles and responsibilities to determine plant level vs. centralized.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance, preferably in an international environment.
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing finance experience, with a strong focus on cost accounting / plant controlling.
  • 2 years of data analytics experience is preferred.
Skills
  • Strong financial acumen and business partnering skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes‑Oxley and local statutory requirements.
  • Ability to understand and communicate financial concepts to non‑financial professionals.
  • Detail‑oriented with effective organization and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated, highly analytical and self‑starter.
  • Fluent German & B2 level English.
