Great White Ark Online Marketing GmbH seeks a Sound Recorder / Sound Mixer for the micro-budget feature film “Cow Lake” in Augsburg/Munich area. Own gear required; small crew (3–5). Language is mainly English with some German. 5 outdoor days in November and 5–7 indoor days in December 2026. Travel willing, local hire preferred.

Ideal candidates are energetic, film-school grads welcome, with indie production experience a plus. Payment is a minimal daily rate with potential profit share later.

Once there is profit made, I can pay whatever the full fee is for a micro budget Film. Otherwise I'm going to pay €100/day which is maximum eight hours plus €50 per diem, including travel if they are located in Munich.

Shooting locations: Augsburg (city), forest & Kuhsee (lake) + one indoor location

Language: approx. 80 % English / 20 % German

• 5 days outdoor – mid to end of November 2026 (Augsburg area)
• 5–7 days indoor – December 2026

We are looking for:

A motivated Sound Recorder / Sound Mixer with own professional equipment and boom (no rental fee please), based in the Augsburg or Munich area as local hire (or willing to travel). Ideal candidate:

• Fit, energetic, good on their feet and full of enthusiasm
• Recent film-school graduates are very welcome
• Experience with independent / micro-budget productions is a plus
• Able to work with a very small crew (3–5 people total) and a small cast

The film:

A middle-aged German stand-up comedian with Jewish roots returns to Augsburg after 40 years in New York City due to early-onset dementia. She moves back into her apartment where her estranged daughter (raised in France by her father) becomes her reluctant caretaker. As both women are pushed to the edge, family members who mainly want the apartment force a confrontation that culminates at the 90th birthday party of the family matriarch and turns into a tense chase through the woods. Director Marianne Hettinger also plays one of the protagonists.

Distribution is already secured via Filmhub (US platform).

Conditions: Micro-budget production – minimal daily rate + possible profit share later.
