Job summary

MOTOR Ai GmbH in Berlin is seeking a skilled test engineer to advance autonomous driving technologies on public roads and controlled environments. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on validating vehicle software and hardware integration.

You will design test plans, execute tests for ADAS/AD concepts, document results with clear tickets, and contribute to building robust test processes and tooling in a fast-growing robotics environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive or robotics testing experience.
• Hands-on testing with full vehicles is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with precise, reproducible findings.
• Experience with Jira and test management tools like DOORS; knowledge of AI tools beneficial.
• English fluency; German is a plus; valid B-class driving license.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are MOTOR Ai. Our mission is to make Level 4 autonomous driving a reality in Germany and beyond. By combining state-of-the-art AI with the expertise of our multidisciplinary team, we are poised to introduce the first solution of its kind in Germany that is eligible for certification on European roads. What you will do

• Test our automated vehicles on public roads and in controlled areas, including manoeuvres, edge cases and regression checks after new software releases

• Prepare test sessions (software release, vehicle status, data recording) and turn logs and observations into structured reports

• Triage findings, identify root causes and hand them over as clear, reproducible tickets

• Create test plans and test cases, keep requirements traceable and check that they are testable

• Help improve our testing process, tooling and automation, using AI tools along the way

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of experience in automotive or robotics testing, ideally hands-on with full vehicles

• Solid knowledge of vehicle systems and dynamics as well as a system-level understanding of ADAS/AD

• An analytical mindset and the ability to write precise, reproducible findings

• Experience with Jira, test management tools (e.g. DOORS) and AI tools; Python, ROS or vehicle data logging is a plus

• Fluent English; German is a plus

• Valid driving licence (class B), extensive driving experience and flexibility for field work

• A can-do attitude and the drive to deliver great results as a team
