About the Job

Are you a scientifically minded technician or lab professional with a passion for solving customer problems? We’re recruiting on behalf of a global leader in automated sample preparation systems, for a Field Service Technician to support customers across Bavaria and the surrounding regions.

In this role, you’ll install, maintain, and support high-performance analytical instruments used in some of the most demanding lab environments—from pharmaceutical and environmental testing to chemical analysis. You'll work closely with customers, providing hands-on service and technical guidance, while collaborating with a knowledgeable and supportive team.

This is a field-based role with regular travel across the Bavaria to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission sample preparation and automation systems at customer sites
• Perform preventative maintenance and on-site troubleshooting
• Deliver technical support and training to users, helping them get the best from their systems
• Document service visits and customer interactions in the CRM system
• Coordinate with application specialists and internal teams to ensure top-quality customer care
• Attend team meetings and training sessions at HQ

What We’re Looking For

• Background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or technical field
• Lab experience using chromatography (GC/LC) or sample prep equipment—service experience is a plus but not required
• Strong technical curiosity and hands-on problem-solving ability
• A structured and self-motivated approach to managing field-based work
• Excellent communication skills in German; good command of English
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Bavaria, Southern Germany and Austria

Location

Field-based within Bavaria and surrounding regions. Regular travel to customer sites, with planned overnight stays and occasional to head office.
