Job summary

HelloFresh's Factor_ brand is seeking an Operational Excellence Lead to head the OpEx team at our food production site. You will drive continuous improvement of production and business processes using Lean and WCM to deliver measurable efficiency, quality and sustainability gains.

Lead cross-functional projects with Production, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain; use data to identify root causes, track performance and enable fact-based decisions.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years in Operational Excellence, continuous improvement or process engineering, ideally in manufacturing.
• Proven track record driving cross-functional improvement projects with measurable results.
• Green Belt certification is a plus and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methods.
• Fluent in German and English with strong data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

Factor_, a HelloFresh brand, is looking for you as an Operational Excellence Lead (m/f/d). As Operational Excellence Lead, you will lead the OpEx team at our food production site and drive the continuous improvement of our production and business processes. With a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and sustainability, you’ll apply Lean and WCM methodologies to deliver measurable improvements — both strategically and operationally.

You will…

• Drive impactful Operational Excellence initiatives across the site, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, productivity, and cost
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects from idea to implementation, using Lean Six Sigma and structured problem-solving to deliver sustainable results
• Partner with teams across Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to challenge existing processes, develop solutions, and turn improvement opportunities into action
• Use data and operational insights to identify root causes, track performance, and make improvement opportunities visible, supporting fact-based decision-making
• Act as a trusted Operational Excellence expert and sparring partner for operational teams and senior stakeholders, bringing new ideas and best practices to the organisation
• Build and scale a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating workshops, sharing knowledge, and enabling teams to solve problems effectively and sustainably
• Own and shape your improvement agenda, balancing strategic projects with emerging opportunities in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment

You have…

• A university degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, or a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or food production environment
• Proven experience driving cross-functional improvement projects and turning ideas into sustainable, measurable results
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving; Green Belt certification is a plus
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to use data to influence decisions and drive change across teams
• Fluent in German and English, with a proactive, hands‑on mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
