Job summary

Blackwave in München entwickelt, produziert und liefert COPVs für Raumfahrtanwendungen. Als Planungs- und Fertigungskoordinator verbinden Sie Planung, Fertigung, Logistik und Qualität, um reale Produktionsziele sicherzustellen und Engpässe frühzeitig zu beheben.

Sie arbeiten eng mit mehreren Teams an Standorten in Deutschland und International, bringen strukturiertes Arbeiten ein und gestalten den Produktionsfluss zuverlässig und effizient.

Qualifications

• Erfahrung in Produktionsplanung, Produktionssteuerung oder Fertigung
• gutes Verständnis dafür, wie einzelne Fertigungsschritte die Gesamtleistung beeinflussen
• Erfahrung in der Koordination mehrerer Teams auf der Fläche
• Starke bereichsübergreifende Kommunikationsfähigkeiten zur Abstimmung von Produktion, Planung, Engineering, Qualität, Logistik
• Strukturiertes, lösungsorientiertes Arbeiten und zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen Planung und Ausführung
• Deutsch (C1) und Englisch (B2) sowie Bereitschaft 95 % On-site an Garching und Taufkirchen

Responsibilities

• Mehrere Fertigungsteams abstimmen und Produktionsziele sicherstellen.
• Verfügbare Maschinen- und Personalkapazität in realistische Pläne übersetzen.
• Abweichungen, Verzögerungen und KapazitätsEngpässe identifizieren und Gegenmaßnahmen entwickeln.
• Engpässe in Logistik gemeinsam mit den relevanten Teams beheben.

Job description

Blackwave designs, manufactures and ships flight-qualified, commercial off-the-shelf composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs) for launch vehicles and satellites. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Munich, Germany, the company delivers COPVs from a standardized portfolio with flight heritage. The approach reduces lead time from months to days while ensuring that each tank is qualified and flight-ready. Blackwave's mission is to end COPV failure in spaceflight. The company employs more than 150 people across manufacturing facilities in Germany and Texas.

You are the daily connection between planning and execution. You coordinate production teams, translate capacity and production needs into realistic plans, and react quickly when priorities, capacities, or timelines change.

To end COPV failure in spaceflight. As we grow, production becomes more complex — with multiple teams, machines, technologies, and locations. Your mission is to keep all these moving parts aligned and ensure that our production output is achieved every day.

YOUR IMPACT

You don't just plan production. You make the plan become reality. You ensure:

• production plans reflect real machine and personnel capacity
• production targets are achieved through effective daily coordination
• changes and disruptions are addressed with appropriate countermeasures
• production bottlenecks are identified early and resolved together with the relevant teams
• production, logistics, engineering, quality, and management stay aligned

Your tasks in detail and by priority:

• Align multiple manufacturing teams and ensure that production targets are achieved. High Performance: Keep the shop floor moving.
• Translate available machine and personnel capacity into achievable plans and identify upcoming capacity increases early. Accountability: Plan realistically. Deliver reliably.
• Identify deviations, delays, and capacity constraints and develop appropriate countermeasures together with the relevant teams. Candor: Surface problems early and act on them.
• Work closely with Logistics to systematically identify and eliminate supply and material bottlenecks. Togetherness: Production succeeds when teams work as one.
• Work closely with Process Engineering to identify weaknesses through recurring quality issues and increased reject rates and drive improvements. Playfulness: Stay curious. Find better ways to work.

Profil

Must-Haves

• Experience in production planning, production control, manufacturing, operations, or a comparable environment.
• Strong understanding of how individual production steps influence overall production output.
• Experience coordinating multiple teams or production activities on the shop floor.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to align Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Project Management, and Management.
• Structured, solution-oriented working style with the ability to stay effective when priorities and conditions change, while acting as the central interface between planning and execution.
• German (C1 minimum) and English (B2 minimum) as well as willingness to work 95% on-site across our Garching and Taufkirchen locations.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or another complex manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of metal processing and/or fiber composite manufacturing as well as experience with production planning, project management, or multi-site manufacturing environments.
