Jobbeschreibung

ABOUT THE ROLE

As EWIS/Harness/Wiring Systems Engineer, you own the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System of our eVTOL aircraft at system level: its requirements, its architecture, and the compliance evidence that makes it certifiable. You define how power, signal and data move safely through the aircraft, covering separation, protection, grounding and bonding, EMC and maintainability, and you keep that definition traceable and configuration-controlled from the first requirement through to certification. You will work directly with our safety and certification team, with suppliers and with regulatory partners, in a genuinely shaping role on a programme that is building a real aircraft.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Own the EWIS system requirements, assumptions and allocated constraints — complete, consistent, traceable and configuration-controlled across aircraft, subsystem and certification baselines
  • Define the EWIS architecture and interfaces for safe power, signal and data distribution, covering separation, protection, grounding/bonding, EMC, maintainability and integration constraints
  • Translate certification objectives into applicable requirements, means of compliance, and the evidence needed to close them
  • Assess change requests, deviations and non-conformances for their safety, compliance, configuration and verification impact
  • Own the EWIS verification and validation strategy — reviews, analyses, inspections, tests and compliance demonstrations — through to requirements closure
  • Keep the EWIS baseline aligned with design, safety and certification, configuration management, and our suppliers as the aircraft matures
  • Continuously challenge and improve our technical concepts, tools, and methods
WHAT YOU BRING
  • At least 3 years of systems engineering experience with aircraft, aerospace, or comparable safety-critical electrical and wiring systems
  • Have worked with requirements and configuration tools such as DOORS, Polarion, Jama, Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE, Siemens Capital or Zuken E3
  • The ability to define, manage and verify requirements, interfaces, traceability and technical change impact across a full product lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of certification, compliance and safety processes relevant to aircraft electrical or EWIS topics
  • A practical understanding of configuration management, baselines, change control and released technical data
  • Professional English, strong enough to write requirements and compliance evidence and to carry cross-functional technical decisions
  • A degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a related field — or equivalent knowledge gained on the job
Moreover, it would be helpful if you also
  • Have experience with CS/FAR 25.1700, DO-160, ARP4754A/B, ARP4761, SAE AS50881 or comparable standards
  • Know the manufacturing, installation and test constraints that harness design has to live with
  • Have prepared certification plans, compliance checklists, conformity evidence or verification matrices
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Full-scale aerospace engineering, not concept slides
  • A 60+ engineer team at Ottobrunn
  • Real ownership and flat hierarchies: a modern startup culture where your input shapes decisions, not just execution
  • Flexible working hours, remote work, and competitive compensation
  • Health & wellbeing: EGYM Wellpass membership and subsidized lunch in our canteen
  • Office extras: espresso coffee, fresh fruit, and soft drinks, plus regular team and company events, and plenty more once you're on board
