Xiaomi Technology in Munich, Germany, seeks a Logistics Specialist – Customs & Inventory Management for our European Vehicle Logistics Department. You will manage customs clearance, import/export coordination, ATA vehicles and inventory control across Europe.

You will ensure compliant, timely vehicle movements, maintain stock visibility, and collaborate with headquarters, customs brokers, compounds, providers and finance to continuously improve logistics operations.

Aufgaben

• Manage customs clearance for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, ATA vehicles and non-EU movements.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics service providers, compounds and internal teams to ensure timely clearance.
• Review and follow up on customs-related invoices, documentation and approval processes. Manage ATA vehicles and carnets, including tracking, return planning and outsourced logistics coordination.
• Monitor and maintain vehicle inventory status across inbound, in-stock, outbound and delivered stages.
• Collect, verify and consolidate daily inventory updates from compounds and internal logistics teams.
• Maintain accurate stock visibility, vehicle availability and inventory movement records.
• Update inventory and logistics data in relevant systems such as CRM, ERP, SAP and Excel tracking tools.
• Monitor compound performance, including stock accuracy, reporting timeliness, vehicle handling quality, storage efficiency and operational responsiveness.
• Support vehicle allocation by providing accurate inventory information based on location, availability and FIFO principles.
• Coordinate stock checks and inventory audits, investigate discrepancies and support audit reporting.

• The Logistics Specialist – Customs & Inventory Management is part of the European Vehicle Logistics Department and supports customs clearance, import/export coordination, ATA vehicle management, inventory control and compound performance monitoring across European logistics operations.
• This role ensures that vehicle movements are handled in a compliant, accurate and timely manner, while maintaining reliable stock visibility, efficient compound operations and smooth coordination between internal teams, headquarters, customs brokers, compounds, logistics service providers, finance teams and other external stakeholders.
• The position plays an important role in supporting customs compliance, accurate inventory management, efficient vehicle flow and continuous improvement of logistics operations across Europe.

Your Job

• Manage customs clearance for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, ATA vehicles and non-EU vehicle movements.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics service providers, compounds and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant clearance.
• Review and follow up on customs-related invoices, documentation and approval processes. Manage ATA vehicles and carnets, including tracking, return planning and outsourced logistics coordination.
• Monitor and maintain vehicle inventory status across inbound, in-stock, outbound and delivered stages.

• Ensure customs, logistics and inventory documents are properly collected, maintained and archived.
• Identify customs, inventory, compound-related risks, documentation gaps and process bottlenecks, and support continuous improvement.
• Provide administrative and operational support when required.

Your Profile

• Experience in customs operations, import/export coordination, vehicle logistics, inventory management, compound operations or stock auditing.
• Good understanding of customs procedures, vehicle movement control, inventory tracking, stock accuracy and logistics documentation.
• Familiarity with ATA carnets, EU/non-EU vehicle import/export processes, customs brokers, logistics service providers or compound operations is an advantage.
• Ability to quickly identify, prioritize and resolve operational issues in a structured and practical way.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams, headquarters, customs brokers, compounds, logistics suppliers and finance teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with CRM, ERP, SAP or logistics-related systems is preferred.
• Structured, detail-oriented and proactive working style with strong follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple operational topics in parallel and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience defining, documenting or improving logistics, customs or inventory processes is an advantage.
• Fluent German and good English skills; another European language is an advantage.
