Hunter Philips Executive Search is assisting a leading international renewable energy developer in Berlin to recruit an experienced EPC Manager for onshore wind projects in Germany. You will own EPC delivery from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities include coordinating EPC/BOP contractors, turbine OEMs, and grid connections, managing schedules and budgets, and liaising with development, engineering, procurement, and operations teams across Germany.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience delivering utility-scale onshore wind projects in Germany.
• Strong EPC, construction or project management background.
• Understanding of wind turbines, civil/BOP, electrical infra and grid connection.
• Experience managing OEMs, EPC/BOP contractors and subcontractors.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Germany.
• Fluent German and good English.

Aufgaben

• Take responsibility for the EPC delivery of onshore wind projects, coordinating activities from pre-construction and contract award through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage and coordinate EPC contractors, turbine OEMs, Balance of Plant contractors and other key suppliers throughout project execution.
• Oversee the interfaces between civil works, electrical infrastructure, grid connection, turbine installation and commissioning.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, milestones and deliverables, identifying potential delays or cost overruns and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders across development, engineering, procurement, grid, construction and operations.
• Support site activities and maintain regular visibility across projects during critical stages of construction.
• Ensure projects progress successfully through testing, commissioning, acceptance and final handover.

Our client is a leading international renewable energy developer and operator with a significant and growing portfolio of onshore wind projects across Germany. As the business continues to develop and construct new projects, they are looking for an experienced EPC Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of onshore wind projects through the EPC and construction phases.

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the EPC delivery of onshore wind projects, coordinating activities from pre-construction and contract award through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage and coordinate EPC contractors, turbine OEMs, Balance of Plant contractors and other key suppliers throughout project execution.
• Oversee the interfaces between civil works, electrical infrastructure, grid connection, turbine installation and commissioning.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in EPC, construction or project management within the onshore wind sector.
• Proven experience delivering utility-scale onshore wind projects in Germany.
• Good understanding of the complete construction package, including wind turbines, civil/BOP works, electrical infrastructure and grid connection.
• Experience managing OEMs, EPC/BOP contractors and subcontractors on complex construction projects.
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects and coordinating multiple technical and commercial interfaces.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Germany as required.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or another relevant technical discipline preferred.
• Fluent German and good English.
