HARMAN is seeking an Enterprise AI Architect & Agentic Platform Lead to define the strategic direction, architecture, governance, and operational execution of the company’s AI ecosystem. You will lead AI Platform Engineers, Solution Architects, and Agent Developers while driving enterprise-scale adoption of secure AI capabilities.

You will manage a growing team, set priorities, allocate resources, and partner with executive leadership across Digital, Cybersecurity, Data, and Business units

What You’ll Be Part Of

As the Enterprise AI Architect & Agentic Platform Lead, you will lead HARMAN’s Enterprise AI Architecture and Platform Engineering function, responsible for defining the strategic direction, architecture, governance, and operational execution of the company’s AI ecosystem. Reporting to theHead of Central AX, you will lead a team of AI Platform Engineers, Solution Architects, and Agent Developers while driving enterprise-wide adoption of scalable, secure, and governed AI capabilities. You will be accountable for the performance, delivery, and continuous evolution of the Enterprise AI platform, balancing technology strategy, operational excellence, and business priorities. Working closely with executive leadership, Digital, Cybersecurity, Data, and Business teams, you will ensure AI solutions are delivered consistently, securely, and at enterprise scale.

Your Team

You will manage a growing team of AI Platform Engineers, Solution Architects, and Agent Developers (4+ direct reports), responsible for delivering HARMAN’s enterprise AI platform capabilities. You will establish team priorities, develop technical talent, allocate resources across strategic initiatives, and ensure consistent delivery of enterprise AI services. In addition to your direct organization, you will provide technical and operational leadership across global engineering teams adopting the enterprise AI platform.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Lead, coach, develop, and grow a team of AI platform engineers, architects, and technical specialists.
• Establish organizational priorities, resource plans, and delivery roadmaps aligned with Digital and AI strategy.
• Own the operational performance, availability, scalability, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise AI platform.
• Manage budget planning, technology investments, and vendor relationships supporting the AI platform.
• Establish engineering standards, delivery processes, KPIs, and operational metrics for the AI Platform organization.
• Balance strategic initiatives with operational support to ensure successful delivery of enterprise AI capabilities.
• Drive cross-functional planning with Data, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, and business leaders.
• Build organizational capability through hiring, mentoring, succession planning, and workforce development.
• Establish governance forums for architectural decisions, platform adoption, and AI operational maturity.
• Define enterprise AI reference architecture.
• Define integration standards.
• Establish AI governance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, with 6+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, software architecture, or platform engineering.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, APIs, data platforms, security architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of AI application architecture, agent-based systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and modern AI development ecosystems.
• Experience defining architecture standards, governance frameworks, evaluation methodologies, observability practices, and operational controls for enterprise platforms.
• Proven experience managing engineering or architecture teams, including coaching, performance management, hiring, and career development.
• Experience managing technical organizations of 4+ engineers or architects.
• Experience developing operational plans, roadmaps, and organizational priorities.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and technology investments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and translate business strategy into technical execution.
• Experience balancing strategic architecture with operational delivery.

What Makes You A Strong Fit

• Experience architecting enterprise AI platforms using Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar ecosystems.
• Certifications in cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, or AI-related technologies.
• Experience building and scaling enterprise AI engineering organizations.
• Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams.
• Experience managing cloud platform budgets and vendor contracts.
• Experience implementing responsible AI, model risk management, AI governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience working in large, global organizations with complex technology landscapes and distributed engineering teams.
