Job Description

English Teachers are mainly responsible for teaching high-quality, communication focused English classes every morning Monday-Friday, between 8:30 – 12:45, using Alpadia’s teaching methodology and resources.

In the afternoons, you will be working closely with other Teachers and Activity Leaders, leading excursions and other programs, offering expert supervision and safety. Additionally, you’ll take a role in the day-to-day operations of camp via attendance checks, helping out during wakeups and bedtime, and participating in camp-wide Evening Programs.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

• Experience teaching English professional capacity. Written and oral fluency (C2)
• High physical, mental and emotional resilience, ability to work 6-days a week, 8 hours a day
• Experience in meaningful, professional teamwork
• High energy level, excitement and comfort speaking in front of large groups
• Availability during staff training in Berlin (June 16-20), and at least 5 weeks of the summer.

Desired Criteria

• ESL Teacher Certification or similar
• Experience teaching children or young people
• Some German proficiency
• Experience in outdoor education or summer camps
• Availability for the entire summer season (June 28– August 8)
