Jobbeschreibung

Engineering Project Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to drive the execution and delivery of complex technical product initiatives across engineering, product management, and supply chain operations, in an outsourced supply chain context.

In this role you will be the point of contact between different teams, such as product engineering, design (R&D), contract manufacturers and supply chain operations, ensuring effective communication and coordination. You are responsible for setting project timelines, managing resources, tracking progress, and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle. You are playing a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives.

This role does not include people management or product ownership but plays a critical enabling role for both.

Your Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Plan, execute, and close cross‑functional technical and product‑related projects
  • Define project scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and success criteria
  • Track progress and proactively manage risks, issues, and deviations
  • Ensure delivery within agreed scope, timeline, quality, and budget constraints

Cross‑Functional Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate teams across Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Quality, IT, and external supply chain network
  • Serve as the central point of contact for project communication and reporting
  • Facilitate alignment, escalation, and decision‑making across stakeholders
  • Monitor delivery status during product issues (go to person) and make or drive necessary decisions

Governance, Process & Quality

  • Apply and support standardized project and lifecycle governance
  • Ensure consistent execution, documentation, and compliance across products
  • Support audits, reviews, and quality checkpoints

Risk, Change & Compliance Management

  • Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and operational risks
  • Manage change requests and assess impact on scope, timeline, and quality
  • Support regulatory, compliance, and internal policy requirements

Data‑Driven Steering & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and track project KPIs and dashboards
  • Enable transparent, fact‑based decision‑making
  • Drive continuous improvement through structured process optimization
Your Qualifications

Professional Skills

  • Proven experience in project management within technical or engineering environments
  • Demonstrated track record of leading Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives, including the successful execution of related projects and transformation programs
  • Strong capabilities in project planning, scheduling, and dependency management
  • Solid experience in risk, change, and stakeholder management
  • Ability to manage complex, cross‑functional initiatives without formal authority
  • Good understanding of technical product lifecycles and engineering processes
  • Experience with agile and hybrid project management methodologies
  • Data‑driven mindset with experience using KPIs and dashboards
  • Practical knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt), Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis (5‑Why), and other structured problem‑solving methodologies
  • Experienced driving process excellence, operational efficiency, and quality improvement programs in complex manufacturing or engineering environments

Personal Competencies

  • Exposure to global supply chain, quality, and operations organizations
  • Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented working style
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • High level of ownership, reliability, and quality orientation
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity in dynamic environments
