Zusammenfassung

Elomatic Oy is seeking an Engineering Planner in Wismar, Germany to plan, coordinate, monitor, and report all engineering activities across the project lifecycle. You will ensure deliverables meet schedules, contractual requirements, and quality standards while aligning resources and MDL management with project milestones.

The role emphasizes planning expertise, multidisciplinary collaboration, and proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera, MS Project, Excel, and Power BI.

Qualifikationen

  • Relevant degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5+ years in engineering planning or project controls.
  • Experience in shipbuilding, marine, offshore, or complex engineering projects.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and deliverable management.

Your role and the team

As Engineering Planner, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting all engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures that engineering deliverables are executed in accordance with project schedules, contractual requirements, quality standards, and resource availability.

Additionally, you’ll develop, maintain, and control engineering schedules based on project milestones, contractual obligations, and the Master Document List (MDL). Acting as the focal point for Engineering Planning and Engineering Progress Reporting, the position provides transparency regarding engineering performance and supports effective decision-making throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain engineering schedules aligned with project milestones, contractual requirements, and overall project objectives.
  • Coordinate planning activities across engineering disciplines and key stakeholders, including project management, procurement, production, commissioning, customers, and shipyards.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report engineering progress, performance, risks, and schedule deviations using relevant KPIs and reporting tools.
  • Support resource planning and forecasting to ensure effective workload and capacity management.
  • Manage engineering deliverables and the Master Document List (MDL) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assess schedule impacts of changes, identify risks and mitigation actions, and support project forecasting activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of engineering planning, reporting, and project control processes.

Working closely with Engineering Managers, Discipline Leads, Project Managers, Document Controllers, Procurement, Production, and the Project Controls Team, your role is to ensure that engineering activities are fully integrated into the overall project schedule and aligned with project objectives. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager/Project Manager.

The Engineering Planner is accountable for the coordination of Engineering Progress Measurement, Engineering Progress Reporting, Master Document List management, and forecasting activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of engineering performance, risks, and milestones.

What helps you succeed in this role
  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. Additional qualifications in Project Planning, Project Controls, or Project Management are an advantage.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in engineering planning, project planning, project controls, or a similar role, preferably in shipbuilding, marine, offshore, energy, EPC, or other complex engineering projects.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments and document-driven project execution.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, engineering execution processes, and deliverable management.
  • Proficiency in Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar planning tools, as well as advanced Excel, Power BI, and reporting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of project controls, schedule analysis, forecasting, KPI reporting, and engineering progress measurement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data and identify critical issues.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment, with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement.
