C&A seeks an Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced fashion-tech environment. You will mentor engineers, align product and design with technical delivery, and drive architectural excellence across microservices and data platforms.

You’ll collaborate with product and design leads, hire top talent, and stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging Java/Kotlin, SpringBoot, AWS, and frontend tech to deliver customer-centric platforms.

Your responsibilities

• Leading, coaching, and developing one or more cross‑functional engineering teams to drive goals and objectives
• Establishing and maintaining a positive and productive work environment that fosters teamwork, creativity, and collaboration
• Fostering engineering and operational excellence within your team(s), as well as identifying training opportunities and career development strategies
• Building engineering capabilities within the team to ensure engineering and operational best practices
• Pairing with the Product Manager and Product Designer on the steering of the team’s roadmap

• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluating their potential impact on the company's products and services

What you bring

• Relevant Engineering Management experience, or in a similar technical leadership role
• Leading with humility and empathy, mentoring others, as well as possessing the ability to effectively delegate
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear, and concise manner to a variety of audiences
• Ability to split large features into smaller deliverables to deliver value as early and as often as possible. Great passion for technology and software development

Great to have

• Experience in designing and implementing microservices in a complex ecosystem (Java, Kotlin, SpringBoot, AWS)
• Experience with frontend technologies (Typescript, React, Tailwind)
• Experience with message brokers and databases (RabbitMQ, Kafka, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with effective ways to leverage GenAI in software delivery
