Job summary

Intercom in Berlin seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers, shaping direction with product and design leadership and driving high-performance outcomes across reliability, velocity and quality.

You will mentor engineers, promote an inclusive culture, and partner across disciplines to deliver meaningful impact while navigating ambiguity with autonomy. This role offers a hybrid setup from our Berlin location.

What will I be doing?

• Partnering with engineering, product and design leaders to shape team direction and strategy.
• Translating strategy into clear goals, priorities and measurable impact with the help of your team.
• Enabling your team to achieve high levels of productivity, performance, reliability and quality.
• Teaching, mentoring, coaching and acting as a role model for engineers and other engineering managers.
• Creating a collaborative, inclusive and supportive team culture focused on fast, focused, high-impact execution.
• Supporting effective planning, decision-making and communication across your team and wider engineering.
• Helping to shape and evolve our engineering culture by contributing to engineering organisation programmes.
