GlobalFoundries in Dresden is seeking an experienced Test Development Engineer responsible for developing test programs and hardware for functional testing of SOC devices, including memory, NVM, logic, mixed-signal and RF components.

You will perform electrical characterization, install and release test programs to production, pursue yield improvements, and collaborate with yield, reliability and design teams. Relocation assistance and flexible working time are available.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or diploma in IT/communications engineering/electrical engineering/physics or comparable.
• Experience in electrical test is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of electronic measurement methods.
• Programming skills in C/C++/Java/Python.
• Knowledge in test hardware design is an advantage.
• Knowledge in memory test procedures is an advantage.
• Very good written and spoken English skills.

Introduction

GlobalFoundries operates a Test Facility at the Dresden site. As part of the fab, Test is responsible for the functional testing of the manufactured wafers, known as wafer sorting. The development of test solutions for autonomous mobility, Industry 4.0 and 5G in Europe is an interesting and great challenge for which we would like to expand the team with an experienced Test Development Engineer.

Your Job

As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for the development of test programs and test hardware for the functional test of SOC devices with memory, NVM, logic and mixed signal as well as RF components and the transfer of the test programs into production. The work task includes:

• Development of test concepts, test hardware and test programs for the functional test of devices with memory, NVM, logic and mixed signal/RF components
• Electrical characterization of NVM, memory logic and mixed signal/RF devices to support our technology development, yield engineering and quality teams
• Installation, correlation and release of test programs and test hardware for production
• Yield optimization, test time reduction and continuous improvement of the test process
• Creation of test project documentation

Required Qualifications

• Completed Master's Degree or Diploma in the fields of information technology/communications engineering/electrical engineering/physics or comparable
• Professional experience in electrical test beneficial
• Very good knowledge of electronic measurement methods
• Programming skills in C/C++/Java/Python
• Knowledge in test hardware design (schematics, probe hardware preparation) is an advantage
• Knowledge in memory test procedures is an advantage
• Very good written and spoken English skills
