Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking an Engineer, Remote Support to provide technical assistance to field engineers, technicians and product support personnel across the Dutch-speaking portfolio. The role is based in Germany or the Netherlands with hybrid work arrangements.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair systems, create knowledgebase articles, and ensure outstanding service from first contact to final resolution, typically through phone and email support while operating on a Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• Fluent English and Dutch mandatory; German a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial automation products and software-software IT integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal and external customers including end-user Operators, OEMs, Developers, System Administrators, Field Consultants, and Engineers.
• Team member of the Controller hardware team working with Logix systems and related products.
• Create and publish knowledgebase articles.
• Provide exceptional customer service from start to resolution for each issue.
• Support typically via phone and email.
• Shift work from Monday to Friday between 8–17.

Job Description

As an Engineer, Remote Support you will provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging systems. You will be expected to respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

In this role, based either in Netherlands or Germany, you will report into a Team Leader, and you will support our Dutch speaking portfolio of customers. You will work hybrid.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to internal and external customers including end-user Operators, OEMs, Developers, System Administrators, Field Consultants, and Engineers.
• Team member of our Controller hardware team where you will work with leading Logix controller systems and related products.
• Create and publish knowledgebase articles.
• Provide exceptional customer service from start to resolution for each issue.
• In most cases, this support will be provided by phone and email.
• In this role work takes place on shift mode from Monday to Friday between 8-17.

The Essentials - You Will Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems (other degrees considered based on relevance to the role) or experience with Rockwell Automation or similar hardware products.
• Fluent English and Dutch language skills are mandatory for the role. German is a pro.
• Knowledge of the product range and applications of industrial automation in connection with software solutions and IT systems.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

• Knowledge of VFD's and motion drives
• Knowledge of PLCs.
• Knowledge of windows and Office 365
• Knowledge of VMWare, (Windows Servers), Ethernet networking, HMI systems.
