Exyte is seeking a Lead Engineer (m/f/d) for Fire Protection / Sprinkler Systems to own the design and execution of complex systems on international greenfield projects, from concept through commissioning.

You will lead technical interfaces with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with VdS, DIN EN, FM Global, and NFPA standards, while guiding site activities and procurement support.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience designing and executing sprinkler and fire protection systems in industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards such as VdS, DIN EN, FM Global, or NFPA.
• Experience coordinating technical interfaces across multidisciplinary teams.

As a Lead Engineer (m/f/d) for Fire Protection / Sprinkler Systems, you will take technical ownership of the design and execution of complex fire protection systems in international greenfield industrial projects - from concept development through commissioning.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the planning and execution of sprinkler systems for complex greenfield industrial projects
• Develop and implement technical concepts for sprinkler and fire protection systems in compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Lead and coordinate engineering activities from concept and basic engineering through detailed engineering and execution
• Coordinate technical interfaces with clients, authorities, engineering disciplines, contractors, and other project stakeholders
• Review and approve design documents, hydraulic calculations, specifications, and technical documentation
• Support tendering, procurement, and the technical evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors
• Support site execution, including technical clarification, installation coordination, testing, and commissioning

Show your expertise

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the design and execution of sprinkler and fire protection systems within industrial projects, ideally in semiconductor or biopharma environemt
• Solid knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, such as VdS, DIN EN, FM Global, or NFPA
• Experience in technical project coordination and managing interfaces across multidisciplinary project teams
• Proficiency in sprinkler design and hydraulic calculation software; experience with CAD/BIM systems is a plus
• Strong technical understanding, structured approach, and a high degree of ownership
• Good command of German and English, combined with a willingness to travel on a project basis
