The German Aerospace Center (DLR) invites applications for an engineering-focused role in the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics. You will develop and maintain embedded real-time Linux applications for robotic systems, integrate sensors and actuators, and collaborate across embedded development and test labs.
Applicants should hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or CS, have several years of embedded RT software experience, and be proficient in C/C++, Linux kernel work, and
The Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics develops robots that enable people to interact with the environment more efficiently, effectively and safely. The robots are designed to work in environments that are inaccessible or dangerous for humans, but also to support and relieve people at work and in everyday life.
The Embedded and Distributed Systems Group within the Autonomy and Remote Programming Department of the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics develops software components that enable the Institute’s researchers to work with robotic systems at a level abstracted from the hardware. This includes, for example, the provision of real-time operating systems, device drivers and inter-process communication via middleware.
Remuneration is based on qualifications and assigned duties, up to pay grade 13 under the TVöD.
We look forward to getting to know you!
