Zusammenfassung

STRATO personal GmbH seeks a Flight Dynamics Modelling Engineer (m/f/d) in Tussenhausen to develop high-fidelity flight dynamics models for fixed-wing aircraft and integrate them into various simulation environments. You will build and validate aerodynamic databases from CFD, wind tunnel, and flight test data, and contribute to certification documentation and flight clearance activities.

A strong background in flight mechanics and Python/MATLAB is required, with hybrid work options and ongoing

Qualifikationen

• Completed studies in Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in Flight Dynamics Modelling, Simulation Development, Aerodynamic Database Generation.
• Strong foundation in flight mechanics, aircraft equations of motion, stability and control.

• Develop, implement and maintain high-fidelity flight dynamics models for fixed-wing aircraft, including aerodynamics, propulsion, mass properties and flight control systems
• Build, process and validate aerodynamic databases based on CFD, wind tunnel and flight test data, including data fusion, smoothing and uncertainty assessment
• Integrate flight dynamics models into desktop, real-time and pilot-in-the-loop simulation environments
• Perform model verification and validation, define acceptance criteria, and document model fidelity, limitations and applicability
• Support handling qualities assessments and model updates throughout the development lifecycle, while preparing technical documentation and evidence for certification, qualification and flight clearance

• Completed studies in the field of Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Work experience in the field of Flight Dynamics Modelling, Simulation Development, Aerodynamic Database Generation
• Strong theoretical foundation in flight mechanics, aircraft equations of motion, stability and control, and aerodynamic modelling techniques
• Good knowledge in using Python and MATLAB/Simulink
