Job summary

Nordex Group in Rostock seeks an Engineer Geometrical System Integration to drive the mechanical design for Blade, Hub and Nacelle modules within the Design and Integration team (TIE). You will define space allocation, perform geometrical integration of systems in turbine layouts, and lead design reviews with internal teams and external suppliers.

A Master in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years' experience and strong CAD/PLM skills (Siemens NX/Teamcenter) is required; fluent English, with

Qualifications

• Master in Mechanical Engineering with strong CAD/PLM background.
• 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Deep knowledge of CAD and PLM tools, especially Siemens NX/Teamcenter.
• Experience handling large assemblies and modularisation.
• Fluent English; Spanish/German a plus; recognition for foreign qualifications when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Define space allocation models and geometrical integration for turbine components.
• Prepare and moderate design reviews with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Create layout designs meeting geometrical requirements from PM, Engineering, Production, Logistics, Service and HSE.
• Identify synergies to increase reuse of parts and reduce cost.
• Determine scope of new design based on Engineering Change Requests.

Your Tasks

As part of our growth, we are looking for a Engineer Geometrical System Integration. Within the Design and Integration team in TIE, they will be a key driver in the mechanical design for the modules Blade, Hub and Nacelle. Amongst others, you will perform the following tasks:

• Define space allocation models for components and perform the geometrical integration of systems in the wind turbine layout
• Prepare and moderate design reviews in collaboration with other departments inside Nordex and external suppliers
• Create the layout design considering geometrical requirements coming from Product Management, Engineering, Production, Logistics, Service and HSE
• Identify synergies across projects and products to increase reuse of parts and decrease complexity and cost
• Determine the scope of new design based on Engineering Change Request

Your Profile

• Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering*
• 5 years of professional experience
• Deep knowledge in CAD and PLM tools, Siemens NX/Teamcenter preferred
• Comfortable in handling large assemblies
• Experience in the field of configuration management and modularisation
• Self-motivated and results-focused, with the ability to connect people, drive collaboration, and achieve objectives on time.
• Fluent English language skills required. Fluent Spanish/German will be a plus
• For foreign qualifications, recognition as the corresponding Spanish degree equivalency is required when applying.
